About Clear Path Counseling

Kate Robinson is a licensed Professional Counselor with  over 17 years of experience. She has worked in various settings including community mental health, an inpatient psychiatric hospital,  and in an outpatient chronic pain management clinic. She currently works in private practice. Kate specializes in helping individuals with acquired brain injury (TBI, concussion, stroke, aneurysm, anoxic brain injury, encephalitis, brain tumor) learn to adapt to the many changes and feelings of loss that one often experiences after a brain injury. Her own experience as a traumatic brain injury survivor enables her to understand her clients with brain injury on a deeper level and her clients appreciate finding a professional who finally understands what they are going through! She also treats adults with depression, anxiety and chronic pain. She provides primarily cognitive behavior therapy to help individuals recognize and learn how to change unhelpful thinking patterns. This evidenced-based form of therapy is effective for many. She also utilizes mindfulness based therapy.

Kate enjoys forming trusting therapeutic relationships with clients that can lead to their growth and inner strength.
